Occupational Therapy

We provide premier home-based pediatric services in the five boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn,

Bronx, Staten Island),

Long Island and the Hamptons. 

School visits available upon request. 

We specialize in working with children diagnosed with developmental delays (DD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities (ID), behavioral challenges,

and genetic syndromes.

Our Team

Jennifer Axman, MS OTR/L

Jen Axman is a  licensed and registered Occupational Therapist. She received a bachelor of science degree in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz in 2012 and a combined bachelor and masters degree in occupational therapy from Long Island University, Brooklyn in 2018.
Jen has experience working with the pediatric population, in both private clinic and school settings, serving individuals ages 4-21 with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Prior to obtaining her OT degree, Jen worked as a direct support professional for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a residential facility as well as an after-school program where she coordinated leisure groups including cooking, gardening, and art.
Jen believes in an individualized, client centered approach. She enjoys meeting each client on their level and using their special interests to inspire them to learn and to foster growth in all areas of occupation. Jen utilizes sensory integration as well as concepts from both DIR Floortime and ABA therapy which inform her occupational therapy practice. Jen holds certifications in Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT), Learning Without Tears, and Therapeutic Listening. She is trained in the ALERT Program and Zones of Regulation. She has experience with feeding therapy using a play based approach.

In her free time, she enjoys drawing, painting, gaming, and volunteering with animals. 

Sharon Ahdout, MS OTR/L

Sharon Ahdout is a licensed and registered occupational therapist. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University for her undergraduate degree with a major in psychology. She received her graduate degree, a master of science, from Columbia University's prestigious occupational therapy program in 2013.  

She has extensive experience in a variety of pediatric settings. She has worked in both public and private schools, therapeutic sensory gyms, ABA clinics, and has provided home care services around NYC. She has worked with different populations of children, with a range of medical and developmental diagnoses. 

Sharon's therapeutic approach is unique. Her expertise in the field and strong work ethic, along with her compassionate approach makes her a distinguished therapist. She enjoys collaborating with families and caregivers and always makes her clients her priority.Sharon uses a strength based child centered approach for childrens needs and goals. 

Sharon has a passion for feeding therapy and is trained in the Sequential Oral Therapy (SOS) approach to feeding. She is also certified in Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) and Learning Without Tears (TM). She has designed customized handwriting programs alongside her colleague Jen. 

In her free time, she enjoys taking spin classes and running in Central Park.
